Darzee
Privacy Policy
How Darzee handles personal, business and customer data.
Last updated October 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Darzee ("Darzee", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores and shares information when you use our websites, mobile applications, web application, business tools, AI features, integrations and related services (collectively, the "Services").
Darzee is a business operating system used by businesses to manage products, services, custom work, customers, orders, production, staff, payments, shipping and communication. Because businesses use Darzee to manage their own customers, some information in Darzee is provided to us by the business using the Services rather than directly by the individual the information relates to.
If you have questions or requests about this Privacy Policy, contact us at tech@darzeeapp.com.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information you provide to Darzee
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect information such as:
- Your name, phone number, email address and account credentials.
- Business information such as business name, address, tax or invoicing details, team information, products, services, pricing and operating preferences.
- Customer and order information that a business user enters into Darzee, such as customer names, phone numbers, addresses, measurements, preferences, order history, due dates, notes, photos, designs and delivery information.
- Staff and production information, including roles, work assignments, workflow stages, costs and operational records.
- Information you send to us when you contact support, respond to surveys, join communities, participate in promotions or otherwise communicate with us.
- Content submitted to AI-powered features, such as text, images, instructions or other inputs, and the outputs generated from those inputs.
Payment information
When payment functionality is used, payments may be processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe, Razorpay or other providers selected by the business. Darzee may receive transaction metadata such as payment status, amount, currency, transaction reference and payment method. We generally do not receive or store full payment-card numbers when they are processed directly by a payment provider.
Device and usage information
We may automatically collect technical and usage information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, app version, language, approximate location derived from IP, referring pages, pages or features used, timestamps, diagnostics, crash information and similar logs needed to operate, secure and improve the Services.
Device permissions
Depending on the feature you use and the permissions you grant, Darzee may request access to features such as your camera, photos, files, contacts, notifications, Bluetooth, NFC or other device capabilities. You can manage these permissions from your device settings.
2. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We may use information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain and improve the Services.
- Create and manage accounts and business profiles.
- Store and organize customer, order, measurement, inventory, production and staff records at the direction of the business using Darzee.
- Enable checkout, payment recording, payment integrations, invoicing, shipping, fulfilment and customer communication.
- Send service messages, order updates, notifications and support communications.
- Personalize onboarding, workflows, language, pricing display and product experiences.
- Provide AI-assisted features and generate requested outputs.
- Detect, prevent and investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents and technical problems.
- Measure usage, troubleshoot issues, perform analytics and improve product performance.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
3. BUSINESS CUSTOMER DATA
Businesses using Darzee may upload or create records about their own customers, staff, suppliers and other contacts. For that information, the business using Darzee generally determines why the information is collected and how it is used. Darzee processes the information to provide the Services to that business.
If you are an end customer of a business that uses Darzee and want to access, correct or delete information that business keeps about you, you should generally contact that business first. We will assist our business customers with valid privacy requests where required.
4. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We do not sell personal information. We may share information only as reasonably necessary to provide and protect the Services, including with:
- Cloud hosting, database, authentication, communications, analytics, customer-support and infrastructure providers.
- Payment providers when a business enables payment functionality.
- Shipping and fulfilment providers when a business enables those integrations.
- Messaging providers when a business sends WhatsApp, SMS, email or other communications through Darzee.
- AI or technology service providers used to deliver requested AI-powered functionality.
- Professional advisers, regulators, law-enforcement authorities or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety and security.
- A successor or potential successor in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, acquisition or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate safeguards.
When you intentionally connect a third-party integration, information may also be shared with that provider according to your instructions and that provider's own terms and privacy policy.
5. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
Our websites and web applications may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, maintain security, understand product usage and improve performance. Your browser may allow you to control or delete cookies, although some Services may not work correctly if required cookies are disabled.
6. DATA RETENTION
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain legitimate business records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, how it is used and the requirements of applicable law.
When information is deleted, copies may remain temporarily in backups or logs until they are securely overwritten or expire through our normal retention processes.
7. DATA SECURITY
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Businesses using Darzee are also responsible for protecting their account credentials, configuring staff access appropriately and using the Services in a secure manner.
8. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Darzee is used internationally, and our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you or your business are located. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
9. CHILDREN AND MINORS
Darzee accounts are intended for business users who are legally able to enter into a binding agreement. Darzee is not designed as a consumer service directed to children.
A business using Darzee may, where appropriate for its business, enter information relating to a minor customer (for example, measurements for a school uniform order). The business is responsible for having an appropriate lawful basis or consent for that information and for complying with applicable laws relating to minors.
10. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, such as the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to certain processing, or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To make a request concerning information held directly by Darzee, contact tech@darzeeapp.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. If the information is controlled by a business that uses Darzee, we may direct you to that business.
11. COMMUNICATIONS
We may send transactional or service-related communications necessary to operate your account or deliver requested functionality. Where required by law, marketing communications are sent based on appropriate permission and can be unsubscribed from using the mechanism provided in the message.
Businesses using Darzee are responsible for ensuring they have the permissions required to send communications to their own customers through connected messaging channels.
12. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party products and services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and Darzee is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties you choose to use.
13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Services, our practices or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised. Material changes may also be communicated through the Services or other appropriate channels.
